AARP hosts webinar with information on COVID-19 vaccine boosters

Kupuna can get the latest information on COVID-19 and vaccine recalls from University of Hawaii Geriatrician Aida Wen and Department of Health Outreach Specialist CJ Johnson during a free webinar on the 15th. October at noon.

The webinar will be on Zoom and simultaneously broadcast on the AARP Hawaiʻi Facebook page. To register and get a Zoom link, go to aarp.org/nearyou or the AARP Hawai`i Facebook page and click on Upcoming Events.

Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai’i and CJ Johnson, who has previously been a panelist on the AARP Hawai’i webinars, will feature update on the latest information on the state’s recall effort. “

The Department of Health also has a telephone line open during business hours Monday through Friday at 808-586-8332. People with vaccine questions can also call Aloha United Way’s 211 call center at 2-1-1. The AUW211 call center is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
