Cost reduction thanks to remote commissioning – pv magazine International

Making life easier for installers, without compromising system safety or quality, is a way to reduce costs and improve service in the rooftop photovoltaic panel segment. This year, Sungrow is launching a new process to speed up the commissioning of new systems and the commissioning of inverters. In this pv magazine Webinar, we take a closer look at the process and how it integrates with Sungrow’s iSolarCloud monitoring platform. We will be treated to a demonstration of the platform in action and hear from an installer who is already implementing the new process in the field.

Saving time for installers and engineers and reducing the complexity of designing, building and commissioning a rooftop photovoltaic system are important goals for the industry, with the potential to reduce costs and to increase acceptance by more customers.

Software and monitoring of course have a key role to play in all of this, with the potential to diagnose and even fix system issues without requiring an engineer call. And with a new feature added to its iSolarCloud platform, Sungrow extends the hand that its software can lend directly to the initial process of commissioning a new system and commissioning inverters.

The new process allows installers to perform installation creation and download all installation data remotely, in the iSolarCloud app or web browser, saving time on site and even allowing perform the entire commissioning process remotely.

In this pv magazine Webinar, Andrea Polini, Product Manager Hybrid / Battery Distribution at Sungrow, will walk us through the many features of Sungrow’s free iSolarCloud monitoring system, including a live demonstration of the new commissioning in action. And we’ll hear all the details about the new commissioning process and its promise to make it easier and faster for installers to commission inverters, from Eleonora Potestio, residential and commercial product manager at Sungrow.

The new process was rolled out to customers earlier this year, and finally we will hear from Magnus Juvèn, Product & Development Manager at Wettersol, an installer in Sweden, talk about their experience working with the platform so far, and how it influenced their project commissioning process.
