The Government College of Excellence in Sanjauli, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal, hosted a webinar on âHimalayan Youth for Climate Changeâ for its students and faculty. Dr Parul Rishi, Associate Professor at IIWM, briefed participants on the latest developments in climate change and asked for suggestions during the interactive session. Principal Chandra Bhan Mehta chaired the webinar.
Girls excel in c’ship karate
Three girls in Class XII of Chanavag Public High School brought laurels to the school by winning medals at an international online karate championship. Ruchika Sharma won the gold medal while Mona Sharma and Namarta Harnot each won a silver medal. The championship kicked off on August 4. No less than 600 students from 24 countries took part in the competition.
The school organizes a planting campaign
The Army Public School’s eco-club, Dagshai, organized a sapling planting campaign, in which teachers, students and parents planted 50 saplings on campus. Medicinal saplings, in particular, were planted to educate students about the benefits of planting trees. Principal Dr SK Mishra said planting saplings was the need of the moment as environmental protection was a concern.
