Udhampur, September 11: A webinar on “Early identification of self-harm and its prevention in young people” was organized by the Department of Counseling and Psychology Cell, Government College for Woman, Udhampur to mark the celebration of World Self-Harm Day. suicide prevention 2022.

Dr. Gurjot Singh, Consultant Psychiatrist, Waves Hospital, Hoshiarpur was the resource person for the webinar. He spoke about the warning signs, particularly in students and the risk factors involved. During his address, he highlighted methods for dealing with the sensitive issues faced by students and young people. At the end, an interactive session took place between the speaker and the participants.

Professor (Dr) Monika Sharma, Principal, GCW, Udhampur, welcomed the audience and introduced the theme for WSPD – 2022. Dr Kamal Deep Kaur, Organiser, Counseling and Psychology Cell GCW Udhampur, presented the speaker and also delivered the vote of thanks. About 80 students participated in the webinar. Electronic certificates will be provided to all participants.
