Logitech RightSight 2 makes video calling more inclusive

Logitech launches RightSight 2, software that simultaneously presents a close-up view of the individual speaker and a view of the entire meeting room during video calls.

Featuring auto-framing technology, RightSight 2 allows remote participants to follow the active speaker while getting the situational context of the group, such as one person gesturing to another or writing on a whiteboard.

“Remote participants can often feel like second-class citizens when video conferencing with colleagues in the office. They miss important in-room interactions or may struggle to follow the flow of meetings,” said Scott Wharton, general manager and vice president of Logitech Video Collaboration.

RightSight 2 combines audio and video intelligence to detect where people are and the location of their voices. Speaker View uses the dual camera system of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini to render picture-in-picture of the active speaker and the entire band.

The active speaker is framed using the main camera which pans and zooms as the speaker changes while the wide-angle AI viewfinder frames the room, ensuring that remote participants can see and hear all the exchanges of the meeting.

IT admins have the ability to switch between speaker view and group view (RightSight’s original auto-framing implementation) to suit their teams.

RightSight 2 Speaker View is compatible with all major Logitech cloud video conferencing partners.

The feature will work in picture-in-picture mode with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android and Windows, and integrates with Zoom Rooms multi-stream technology – which displays each of the speaker and room streams in separate individual tiles.

It’s all about webinars.

Marketing budgets are now focused on webinars combined with lead generation.

If you want to promote a webinar, we recommend at least a 3-4 week campaign before your event.

The iTWire campaign will include numerous advertisements on our news site itwire.com and a major newsletter promotion https://itwire.com/itwire-update.html and promotional and editorial news. Plus a keynote speaker video interview on iTWire TV https://www.youtube.com/c/iTWireTV/videos which will be used in promotional messages on the iTWire homepage.

Now that we are coming out of Lockdown, iTWire will focus on supporting your webinars and campaigns and providing support through partial payments and extended terms, a Webinar Business Booster pack and other support programs. We can also create your advertisements and written content and coordinate your video interview.
