Megaport Virtual Edge offers branch-to-cloud connectivity with the Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN platform

Megaport, a global network as a service (NaaS) provider, announced the availability of the Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN platform on Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE). Aruba EdgeConnect’s integration with MVE enables branch-to-cloud connectivity through Megaport’s software-defined global network (SDN), according to Megaport states.

Megaport says businesses have adopted SD-WAN and Internet connections to simplify and reduce the cost of IT connectivity. The challenge is that end-to-end Internet connection variability and latency can adversely affect the performance, availability, and security of key services and resources.

This can now be resolved by instantiating Aruba EdgeConnect virtual instances on Megaport’s global platform, thereby extending the SD-WAN fabric to the edge of Megaport’s SDN. The joint solution reduces the distance data has to travel on internet paths between branch offices or to public or private clouds, thereby reducing latency in the process, argues Megaport.

Megaport says Aruba EdgeConnect customers can now take advantage of its global ecosystem of more than 700 data centers and more than 360 service providers, with more than 230 cloud ramps, including Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud and Sales Force.

Megaport states that the additional benefits include:

  • Reduced costs of egress from the cloud to cloud ramps compared to Internet tariffs;
  • Better performance thanks to reduced jitter and latency;
  • Global access ramps for faster localized connections;
  • Point-and-click network provisioning of interconnection between branch offices, data centers, cloud providers and IT departments;
  • Real-time provisioning of virtual network infrastructure and interconnections;
  • Reduced deployment costs since there is no hardware to ship, install or manage; and
  • End-to-end network provisioning, management and visibility for existing networks.

“Megaport Virtual Edge offers Aruba EdgeConnect customers an additional way to modernize and secure WAN edge infrastructure,” said Fraser Street, Aruba WAN Technical Alliance Coordinator. “The common solution speeds up data transfer, reduces operating costs and simplifies commissioning and maintenance.

Megaport claims that MVE is a globally distributed compute and network service, and customers can host on-demand network function virtualization instances at the point of use, managing them globally from a single window. An integrated transit gateway provides highly scalable access to connect networks, via the public Internet, to Megaport’s private SDN. Virtualized devices hosted on MVE can create connections between the SDN Megaport and their distributed sites through the transit gateway.

“The integration of the Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN platform with Megaport’s SDN will enable common customers to achieve better network and application performance while reducing cloud costs,” said Vincent English, CEO of Megaport. “Because MVE is available in 22 metropolitan areas across North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe, traffic can be localized, which helps optimize data termination for performance. “

It’s all about webinars.

Marketing budgets are now focused on webinars combined with lead generation.

If you want to promote a webinar, we recommend at least one campaign 3-4 weeks before your event.

The iTWire campaign will include extensive advertisements on our news site and significant promotion in the newsletter and promotional and editorial news. Plus a video interview of the keynote speaker on iTWire TV which will be used in promotional messages on the iTWire homepage.

Now that we are coming out of Lockdown, iTWire will focus on helping your webinars and campaigns and supporting through partial payments and extended durations, a Webinar Business Booster pack and other support programs. We can also create your advertisements and written content and coordinate your video interview.

We look forward to discussing your campaign goals with you. Please click on the button below.

iTWire TV offers unique value to the technology industry by providing a range of video interviews, news, views and reviews, and also offers vendors the ability to promote your business and marketing messages.

We work with you to develop the message and conduct the product interview or review in a safe and collaborative manner. Unlike other Tech YouTube channels, we create a story around your post and post it on the ITWire homepage, linked to your post.

Additionally, your interview post can be displayed in up to 7 different post views on our site to drive traffic and readers to your video content and downloads. This can be a significant lead generation opportunity for your business.

We also provide 3 videos in one recording / session if you need them so that you have a series of videos to promote to your clients. Your sales team can add your emails to the sales materials and footer of their sales and marketing emails.

Get the latest tech news, views, interviews, reviews, product promotions and events. Plus fun videos from our readers and customers.
