MIT-WPU to offer blockchain-anchored digital diplomas and degrees in India


The MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) announced that it has become the first India offer digital diplomas and diplomas anchored in the Blockchain to its students.

MIT-WPU has signed a partnership agreement with CertOnce to implement its platform to deliver blockchain-anchored digital diplomas and degrees to over 2,568 students across all of this year’s programs.

“Our university always strives to digital transformation and we are committed to finding new avenues to complete this digital transformation journey and create inspiring new ways to empower our students, ”said Rahul V. Karad, Executive Chairman of MIT-WPU, in a statement. “As our students continue to brilliantly pass out and secure jobs in major global organizations in India and abroad, we wanted to give them a degree that would put them on par with the best in the world – a document that epitomizes global academic confidence and competence “Karad added.

Beyond diploma certificates, MIT-WPU will also use the system to issue student transcripts, publish academic research papers, project reports, among others.

The MIT-WPU has set global standards, whether it’s establishing global industrial relations or driving digital transformations.
