MRI Software Launches Workplace Central to Enable Safe, Flexible and Efficient Return to Work

SOLON, Ohio, June 24, 2021 / PRNewswire / – MRI software, world leader in real estate solutions, announces the launch of IRM Workplace Central, a complete solution that allows businesses to manage the return of their workforce to the office and other workspaces. The workplace management offering enables building and facility managers to gain visibility into all facets of the business sites they operate to ensure they are well managed and secure.

“We are proud to market MRI Workplace Central as a complete solution to support successful return to work for organizations around the world,” said Dermot Briody, Senior Vice President of Occupant Solutions at MRI. “As companies rethink the future of the workplace and take action to bring employees back to the office, flexible technology will be needed to manage new and changing work layouts and expectations. “

MRI Workplace Central provides a wide range of applications to help organizations bring people together as a team while ensuring their well-being. Its components include:

  • Spatial planning – help organizations understand and prepare to meet the changing needs of workspaces as COVID restrictions are lifted;
  • Planning / booking of room and office – emerging as a priority for businesses, with 54% of respondents indicating that they will convert or develop hot-desking, according to global search conducted by MRI and the real estate trade association CoreNet Global;
  • Use of space – continuous assessment of the use of space, allowing strategic adjustment as needs evolve;
  • Presence management – to track and control the flow of employees, visitors and service providers in and out of offices and other facilities with tools that provide a complete view of who is on site and who is working remotely.

MRI has conducted extensive research and collected data on what tenants and landlords are doing to prepare for the hybrid office environment and look further into the future. The MRI-CoreNet survey found that nearly 90% of respondents expect their organizations to allow remote working after the pandemic – a third more than before – while more than 70% say the pandemic fundamentally changed their long-term approach to the use of space.

Briody notes: “The office remains at the heart of the culture, collaboration and engagement in the workplace, which are essential to business results. We have strategically developed our global workplace management offering in recent years, and MRI Workplace Central represents an important step in our efforts to provide flexible solutions to help organizations manage the future of work.

The launch of MRI Workplace Central incorporates best-in-class technology from two recent acquisitions. Earlier this year, MRI acquired WhosOnLocation, the provider of an integrated cloud-based solution that enables organizations to meet workplace safety and security needs, and Manhattan, the real estate and workplace solutions business, formerly owned by Trimble.

MRI will host a webinar titled “Creating a Safe and Flexible Work Environment with MRI Workplace Central” at June 29. Click on here record.
