Responsibilities:
An employee in this class typically works in a microcomputer environment and provides hardware and software support to end users including, but not limited to, software training, software technical advice, LAN / disk backups hard drive for disaster recovery, hardware and software installation, formatting the drive, and troubleshooting printer malfunctions. The employee develops and improves simple applications and is part of the design team for more complex applications. Training at this level is more formalized and includes a wider variety of software packages. The employee will coordinate various technology projects assigned by the Director and be responsible for the administration and maintenance of these assignments. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer and is evaluated by observation, lectures and the quality and efficiency of the work performed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science; Where
• High school diploma or GED and four years of experience in the use of computer and computing resources; Where
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Valid NC driving license.
