U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Selects MetTel for Internet Protocol Services

NEW YORK, July 21, 2021 / PRNewswire / – MetTel, a leader in digital transformation and communications, today announced that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has selected MetTel to provide Internet Protocol (IPS) services in the General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) framework.

In accordance with Federal Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) guidelines and as part of its digital transformation, the SEC will transfer its IPS services to providers of EIS contracts. MetTel will provide 10 Gigabit IPS Ethernet connectivity to SEC’s second data center.

Founded in 1934, at the height of the Great Depression, the SEC’s mission is to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation. The agency is made up of 11 regional offices and a fully converged IPS network with the agency’s data, voice and video services. Senior President, Federal Programs, MetTel. “By using the MetTel EIS portal, the SEC will have access to the latest technology to monitor and report near real-time performance details on Internet services provided through the MetTel network. The portal will provide better visibility into operations and compliance with service level agreements. . ”

MetTel has a growing federal practice. Since 2020, MetTel has received contracts from more than a dozen federal agencies totaling more than $ 2 billion in the total contract value after all options. Over the past 18 months, MetTel has announced IT communications plans with numerous municipal and federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration, United States Department of State, and Veteran’s Administration. .
