Until now, establishing defensible legal holdings on data Slack has always required collecting data in an external repository to preserve it while maintaining information governance policies. Slack added the ability to create and manage legal holds so data can be kept in place. This new capability provides enterprise ediscovery professionals and Slack administrators with new tools and options for their data management and ediscovery workflows.
In this educational webinar, experts from IBM, Uber, Slack and Hanzo will discuss:
- Common ediscovery challenges when it comes to collaboration tools like Slack
- how Slack Legal Hold enables in-place custody and why this capability is so important, and
- explore best practices for managing retention and meeting discovery obligations.
Participants will gain insight into preservation strategies, including when you would choose to rely on in-place preservation versus collection for preservation, and learn about the benefits of early case assessment, step-by-step discovery, etc. .
