Webinars offered to assist applicants for the Trade Border Relief Program

Two webinars to guide potential candidates for the latest small business aid will be held in the near future. The Border Trade Assistance Program will provide grants to direct-to-customer businesses that generate income from Canadian visitors, or to businesses that need to access US-Canadian border crossings.

Nonprofit and for-profit businesses located in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan, Clallam, Jefferson, Okanogan, Stevens, Ferry, and Pend Oreille counties will be eligible.

Presenters will be Eric Grimstead, WWU Certified Senior Business Advisor and Steve Burke, Washington SBDC Certified Business Advisor. Representatives from the Washington Department of Commerce will also be on the panel. Questions will be answered if time permits.

Grants can go up to $ 50,000, but will take into account whether or not a company has already received a Working Washington grant.

The application portal is expected to be open from October 4-18. Eligibility information and a detailed FAQ are available at bit.ly/2Ya9kcP.

The webinar is available free of charge but registration is required. A Zoom link for the webinar will be sent to those who register prior to the event.

Wednesday, September 29, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. To register, go to bit.ly/39NxR9U.

Monday, October 4, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. To register, go to bit.ly/3zJSsX2.
