Winkler appointed CIO for the City of Boise – Idaho Business Review

Alexandra winkler has been appointed Director of the City of Boise Information Technology Department, on the recommendation of Boise Mayor Lauren McLean and City Council approval. Like the city vsthief Iinformation officer, Winkler will oversee a technology department with a team of over 60 employees responsible for application development, websites and geographic information systems, infrastructure management, project coordination, implementation technological systems and internal network and IT customer support. In this role, Winkler will leverage his cross-domain experience in IT, products and consulting in addition to his experience in government, healthcare care, customer service and logistics to enable the city to grow in the digital space. Winkler comes to the City of Boise with over 20 years of experience in operational strategy, team leadership, and the management of transformation and technology projects and budgets in the public and private sectors. More recently she served as selder Ddirector of pproduct oat Healthwise, a longtime nonprofit in Boise, where she facilitated the scale-up of product development efforts and operationalized company strategy. His experience also includes leading teams to develop backend platform capabilities at Healthwise and develop information technology requirements in an IT consulting firm. She worked as a management consultant for Deloitte and served in the we Air Force manages transformation projects and implementations. She has certifications and experience in project management, change management and improving lean processes.
